Halo History

Halo 2: Anniversary

HCS Season 1

Annex first entered the Halo scene when they announced their roster of Jacob "Arkanum" Santos, Ryan "Shooter" Sondhi, Jesse "Killrelevant" Creelman, and Yousef "OmegA" on December 7, 2014.[1] They finished 5-6th in HCS Cup 1 and 9-12th at Iron Games Columbus 2014. However, a contract dispute soon began between Arkanum and Annex, leading to his release. Annex placed top 128 in HCS Cup 2 and disbanded shortly after.

HCS Season 2

On April 9, Annex announced its new roster of Shane "WinntuR", Tomell "Very Nerdy" Day, Casey "Sargoth" Current and Josh "Tragic".[2] On April 13, they announced an additional team, consisting of the former Element roster of Jenn "Queen" DeFonzo, Jesse "Siao" Ansbro, Tony "EccentriK" and Alec "Bulletflu" Venable, going under the name of Annex Black.[3] Prior to being signed by Annex, the team had placed top 8 and top 16 in the two preseason cups, earning themselves the 9th seed. At Iron Games Atlanta 2015, Annex Black lost to Swerve in the WB and Noble Black in the LB, ending their tournament with a top 24 finish.[4] The main Annex roster had a better run, finishing top 12 after losses to Winterfox and Cloud9.[5] With Jeremiah filling in as the fourth for HCS Cup #1, Annex managed a top 8 finish.

On April 21, EccentriK confirmed that he was leaving Annex Black.[6]. Bulletflu departed at another unconfirmed point, as did Queen, effectively disbanding the Annex Black roster. During HCS Cup 1, Annex played with a player named "Jeremiah", earning a top 8 finish. However, it was later discovered that Jeremiah was non-member Tragic playing on an alternate account. As a result, Annex was penalized by being barred from competing in Cup 4. Tragic officially returned to the main Annex roster shortly after.

Halo 5

Annex's HCS roster quietly disbanded over the offseason, with only WinntuR retaining Annex branding on his social media, while Tragic and Nerdy left to join Vigor eSports.
