Chosen Squad's Halo World Championship 2016 journey began with a roster of Armando "Rinnegan" Nocedal, Raúl "Dragoniak" Pichardo, Sebastian "Dualitat" Cebado and "Windragon". After failing to qualify in the first of three cups, Chosen Squad bolstered their roster by moving Windragon to coaching and acquiring Elias "S3lioh" Alvarado. They won the 2nd qualifier, earning a spot in the LATAM Regional Finals. At Regionals, Chosen Squad went undefeated in their pool despite a very close series against Insane Onfire. They went on to defeat AfterLife Gaming in the Semifinals and Chosen Legacy in the finals to clinch a berth in the Halo World Championship. Chosen Squad fielded a slightly different roster at Worlds, replacing Rinnegan with Daniel "DanyKnight" Rivas. At Worlds, Chosen Squad went 0-3 in their group, finishing top 16.
