History

Halo 5: Guardians

Deception was formed prior to May 3, 2016 by Ryan "Batchford" Batchelor, Daniel "Doodle" Petersen, Stuart "WarLord" Graham and Hamzah "Phlux" Nackvi, with the intention of qualifying for the HCS Pro League. Their first opportunity to do so was the online Summer Qualifier. Though they managed to upset some favored teams, they ended up finishing 4th, which was not enough to qualify. Their last shot was the Last Chance Qualifier. In this, they went all the way, dropping only one game (to Dinosaurs) on their road to qualification. On May 26, Deception was acquired by Team Infused, effectively disbanding the team.
