Dream Team joined the Halo scene on January 4, 2016, when they announced that they had acquired the Let's Get This Money roster of Prototype, Posey xR, TireIron, and JuicyFruit. Prior to joining the organization, Let's Get This Money had finished in the top 4 in the first two NA Qualifiers. As LGTM, the Dream Team roster also earned an invite to X Games Aspen 2016 to compete for a gold medal and $15,000.
After the 3rd qualifier, Dream Team made a roster change, replacing Posey and JuicyFruit with Aries and JessePeace. They closed out the qualifiers as the 8th seeded team in North America, qualifying for the HWC 2016 NA Regional Finals. At the X Games, Dream Team were unable to beat Evil Geniuses or Counter Logic Gaming in the group stage, only managing to defeat PENTA Sports and finishing 5th - 8th. At NA Regionals, Dream Team went winless in their group, losing to OpTic Gaming, Triggers Pound and Team Allegiance. Thus, they finished top 16 and did not qualify for Halo World Championship 2016. On March 3, Prototype announced his departure from Dream Team.
