Justin "Fearitself" Kats is a professional Halo player, whom is currently a Free agent. He is well known for his time on teams such as Final Boss, Triggers Down and Cloud9.
Biography
Justin Kats was born on March 10, 1989. His hometown is Lansing, Illinois.
Halo 2
Justin "FearItSelf" Kats, started his professional career at MLG Chicago 2005 on Xtreme Gaming with aluckyshot, CallMeGod and RudyReborn, placing 24th.
Aluckyshot was then swapped with Hokum for MLG Dallas 2006 and Anaheim where they finished top 32 both times, competing under the name MoBXG2K.com. CallmeGod was swapped with TimeliestBrute for Chicago and they got 15th. Hokum was then swapped for Fake Tittes and the squad competed in Orlando as TeamVG.net, getting 13th. He would finish the year in New York on Reload after 4 with Talent, Nitrouss and St0n3r 2, again getting 13th.
In 2007 he joined 5k alongside Hokum, Roy and his twin brother Lunchbox. The roster would stick together the entire year getting 4th in Charlotte, 5th in Meadowlands, 4th in Dallas, 5th in Chicago, 12th in Orlando and qualifying for Vegas where they would finish in 5th.
Halo 3
Fearitself would find himself on Triggers Down for all of 2008 with Hysteria and SK. The squad started the year attending Meadowlands with Lowkin and finishing 4th. Lowkin was swapped with Victory X for San Diego where the team finished 3rd. They then went on to get Fearitself his first tournament victory in Orlando with Snip3down in place of Victory. Snip3down left before Toronto causing the team to use Mackeo in their 6th place finish there. They would replace Mackeo with Karma for the final two events of the year, netting him his second tournament win inDallas, before finishing 5th at the National Championships in Vegas.
Fearitself would then join Final Boss alongside Ogre 2, Victory X and Mackeo. The roster would finish 5th at MLG Meadowlands 2009 followed by a 3rd place performance in Columbus. The team attended Dallas with Strongside instead of Mackeo and again got 5th. He then left Final Boss for Instinct, with Neighbor and his old teammates Roy and Lunchbox. The team would finish 7th in Anaheim and 4th in Orlando.
In 2010 he left to rejoin Ogre 2 and Victory X on Final Boss. They placed 3rd in Orlando with Totz, before swapping him out for iGoturpistola. This roster would stick together for the rest of the year, finishing 2nd in Columbus, before winning three events in a row in Raleigh, D.C., and Dallas.
Halo: Reach
The same line up returned to MLG Dallas 2011 but only finished 10th. Ogre 2 and Pistola then left the team, making way for Totz and Ninja, before Columbus where the team got 5th. Ninja was swapped for Cloud before Anaheim, where the team finished 8th. Totz and Cloud both left before Raleigh causing the team to play with Amish Acorns and Hysteria, to get 10th. Acorns was then swapped for Legit for the final two tournaments of the year in Orlando and Providence where they placed 10th and 6th respectively.
Fearitself attended MLG Columbus 2012 as a member of The Agency, with Neighbor, SK and Victory X, where they finished 17th-24th.
Halo 4
FearitSelf attended only one Halo 4 event, AGL 3 Chicago, placing 5th as a member of Status Quo.
Halo 2: Anniversary
FearitSelf started out H2A at the PAX Prime Showdown, attending as a member of Triggers Down. The squad placed 3rd. Fear then attended the ESL MCC Launch Invitational as a member of The Agency, placing Top 6. The Agency was soon signed by Cloud9. As a member of Cloud9 with Victory X, Ninja and Hysteria, Fear finished 4th at Iron Games Columbus 2014, 5th at UGC St. Louis 2015 and 4th once again at Gamers For Giving 2015. They went into the season finals at PAX East 2015 as the #5 seed, where they again finished 4th.
Cloud9 made a roster change in the offseason, dropping Ninja in favor of iGotUrPistola, Fear's former teammate from the MLG days. The new roster earned a new best HCS placing for Cloud9, finishing 3rd at Iron Games Atlanta 2015. Fear and Cloud9 had a less impressive 6th place finish at HCS Indianapolis, but rebounded at the HCS Season 2 Finals to finish off the season with a 4th place finish.
Halo 5: Guardians
Cloud9 disbanded in the offseason. After moving from team to team for the first 4 NA Halo World Championship 2016 Qualifiers, FIS finally found a squad in OpTic Gaming alongside Flamesword and Maniac.
