Daniel "Flamez" Young is a Welsh player for Prophecy and the former coach of Epsilon eSports. He is well known for his time with teams such as VwS Gaming and Dinosaurs.

Biography

Halo 3 Revival

Flamez' competitive career began during the European Halo 3 revival following the death of the competitive Halo 4 scene. His team at Multiplay Insomnia 51, Tactical Gaming, consisted of himself alongside Snipedrone, Hollerz and Xavi. They took 2nd place at Flamez' first major event. At Insomnia 52, Flamez and Snipedrone represented VwS Gaming alongside Snakey and Deany, taking 1st place.

Halo 2: Anniversary

The VwS roster stuck together going into the new title. They took a less impressive top 6 placing at both Insomnia 53 and the Gfinity Halo 2: Anniversary LAN Championship. After Gfinity, Flamez and Snakey left VwS to join Insight eSports alongside GodShot and Havoc. They took 4th at their first event together, Insomnia 54. Replacing Havoc with Vard, the Insight roster joined CAZ eSports. The new roster was invited to the Gamescom Invitational 2015 Halo 5 tournament, where they took a narrow 3-4 placing at the four-team invitational. At Insomnia 55, the last European H2A event, CAZ took 2nd place, narrowly losing to the dominant Epsilon eSports squad.

Halo 5: Guardians

Flamez' first Halo 5 event was Insomnia 56, where he played as a member of Barrage eSports alongside Snakey, Vard and GodShot, taking 3rd place.

Rather than trying to compete as a player in the Halo World Championship 2016 qualifying series, Flamez decided to move to coaching, joining the Epsilon eSports as head coach of the roster featuring BUK 20, BUK 57, Jimbo and Snipedrone. The roster ended up qualifying through the EMEA Regionals and took a top 8 finish at Worlds, becoming the only non-American team to make it out of their pool in the process.

After Worlds, Flamez returned to competing, forming team Movement alongside WarLord, VexZeus and Qristola for Insomnia 57. The team took 2nd place, losing to Epsilon in the Finals. Flamez then looked toward qualifying for the Summer 2016 Pro League. After failing in his first attempt to qualify with Movement, Flamez and Qristola left to join Dinosaurs alongside his former teammates BUK 20 and BUK 57. They qualified in the LCQ, placing top 4. Dinosaurs started off strong in the season, but closed out on a losing streak, narrowly missing out on the Finals and instead facing Relegation. At the Relegation event, Dinosaurs narrowly kept their spot in the League by placing 2nd.

After the season's conclusion, Flamez was presumably dropped from Dinosaurs for Jimbo, but Jimbo left the team and Flamez was back on the roster (with VexZeus in place of Qristola) by roster lock. On September 10, Dinosaurs joined the Prophecy organization.
