Faisal "Goofy" Khan is a Halo esports player, currently a player for Sage eSports. He has been sporadically competing since 2009, most notably playing for teams like eLevate, Warriors, and Darkest Hour.
Faisal Khan was born on March 31, 1994.
Goofy began his Halo career in 2009, teaming with GuH_GuH_GambiT, Gor3 and FoRilaKila as In Hot Pursuit. This team placed top 40 at MLG Meadowlands. He then spent an event as a member of Severance, placing 19th in Columbus. He joined End Result with CallMeGod, Mad Max and ThuggishKilla for Dallas, where they placed 21st. Goofy finally broke into the top 16 when he joined Brake, Monster and NocternalKernal for MLG Anaheim. The team, Surprise, placed 13th. Monster and NK were then swapped out for Advent and Gun ShoT for Orlando, where Surprise again placed 13th.
Goofy and Brake stuck together for 2010, forming Warriors with Sypher and zNightmare. This team took 12th place in Orlando. Sypher and zNightmare were then replaced by NocternalKernal and Ryanoob, and the team placed an impressive 5th in Columbus. During a match with Triggers Down, Goofy pulled off an impressive sniper shot on SK that sealed them the victory in one of the highlight moments of the 2010 season and Goofy's career. Goofy and Ryanoob then left Warriors to join Darkest Hour with TwYLighT and Legend. This initially looked like a step back for Goofy with a 16th placing in Raleigh, but after swapping Legend for Batmayne, Goofy and Darkest Hour placed 4th in D.C., a new career-high for Goofy. Despite the performance, it was not enough to earn Darkest Hour a top 8 seed going into the Dallas National Championships, so Darkest Hour instead competed in the Reach Exhibition at the same event, with a roster of Goofy, TwYLighT, Russo and ScarVayne. They placed 4th in the competition.
Goofy and TwYLighT remained on Darkest Hour to start the 2011 season off, alongside Legit and Naded. This team managed only 14th in Dallas, and Goofy left shortly after to join Soul with Brake and newcomers Blaze and Formal. Soul placed 6th in Columbus, but the team split after the event, with Goofy and Brake joining Quantic Fallen with Arkanum and Royal2. Fallen would place 13th in Anaheim, and Goofy would again depart for a new team after the event, this time joining Evil alongside Crimsix, Twin Savior and Naded. Evil placed 7th in Raleigh, but it wasn't enough, and Goofy again left his team, this time joining Triggers Down alongside Arkanum, Best Man and Neighbor. They managed a placing of 6th in Orlando, but lost a step at the Providence National Championships, placing only 10th.
Goofy and Legit would stay on Warriors for the MLG Fall Championship 2012, enlisting Ninja and Ryanoob to round out the roster. This proved to be a success as Warriors took 1st place, winning Goofy his first event. Warriors stuck together for two AGL events, placing 2nd at both, before swapping out Ryanoob for APG, with whom they had less success, placing 4th and 3rd. Goofy then joined Infamous for AGL 8, where he placed 2nd with Naded, Ryanoob and Lethul. He then rejoined Severance with Gabriel, Spartan and Proverb for AGL 9, again placing 2nd.
Halo 2: Anniversary
Goofy's first foray into competitive H2A came at the PAX Prime Showdown 2014, where he competed as a part of VwS Gaming alongside Naded, Legit and Mikwen. The team took 2nd place at PAX, and returned at the ESL MCC Launch Invitational, where they took 4th. Goofy did not participate in HCS Season 1.
Halo 5: Guardians
Goofy made his official return to competitive Halo on October 25, 2015, when it was announced that he was a member of upstart organization Allegiance eSports. However, this roster would not last long enough to compete in a tournament, as Goofy and Str8 SicK were released on December 6. Over the following weeks, Goofy formed a new team with Munoz, Str8 SicK and Nemassist. The team was picked up by eLevate on December 29. They eventually qualified for the HWC NA Regional Finals 2016 as the 10th seed. At Regionals, eLevate finished top 16, failing to qualify for Halo World Championship 2016. The eLevate organization then sidelined its Regionals roster, replacing it with the former Noble eSports lineup that had qualified.
On April 22, 2016, it was announced that Goofy would be joining ContrA, PreDevoNatoR and Ryanoob in a return to Allegiance eSports, now known as Team Allegiance. After the team posted an unimpressive 1-5 record in the first 3 weeks of the season, Goofy was released by Allegiance. He eventually found himself on team Tryvek alongside Arkanum, Renegade JW and TriPPPeY for the Open Circuit Finals. The team finished top 8.
