The 2022 HCS season is a global esports ecosystem run by Microsoft, 343 Industries, and Esports Engine. It is the first season played on Halo Infinite, released in beta on November 15, 2021, - the 20th anniversary of Xbox and Halo - and later fully on December 8, 2021.

Format
- Platforms
- PC and any Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One
- Any controller or mouse/keyboard is allowed that doesn't need additional hardware or power
- Crossplay across all devices/inputs
- Season Format
- Four regions - North America, Europe, Mexico, Australia-New Zealand
- Four total majors with one additional LAN in each region
- Weekly online tournaments and other big online events
- Over $3,000,000 in prizes along with crowd funding
