Ben "Karma" Jackson is a retired American player well known for his time with Carbon (with whom he won the MLG 2006 National Championship) and Triggers Down. In addition to his 4v4 accolades, he is also the most successful player in individual Halo competition, having won 10 MLG FFA/1v1 tournaments out of the 24 he competed in, including two National Championships, the most of any player.

Biography

Ben Jackson was born on March 25, 1988. He is from Murrietal, California.

Halo: CE

Karma made his first appearance at MLG Los Angeles 2004 where he placed top 8 with Team Default. The roster consisted of Bapo, Cliffy and Fishy.

Halo 2

Karma started out Halo 2 at MLG San Francisco 2005 as a member of Not So STR8 RIPPIN alongside Fonzi, Foulacy and Synergy. They finished 3rd. Karma returned to Str8 Rippin at MLG Orlando alongside Fonzi, Foulacy and Tsquared. They again finished 3rd. Fonzi, Foulacy and Karma then recruited Zyos and formed MLG Rockford for MLG St. Louis, where they again finished 3rd. Karma's next event was MLG Los Angeles 2005, where he teamed with three locals and managed to finish in the top 6. At MLG Atlanta 2005, Karma again teamed with less known talent and this time finished in the top 16. Though his 4v4 placings were less stellar, he made a name for himself in the FFA tournaments, winning in Los Angeles and finishing 2nd in Atlanta. Soon after, Karma found himself on a stacked iGameSpot squad, which would end up forming the core of his team for the majority of his career. IGS won MLG Seattle 2005 with the roster consisting of Karma, Defy, Gandhi and Shockwave. IGS would make a roster change for the last two events of the season, replacing Defy with StrongSide. They would close out the season with a 4th place finish in Chicago and 2nd at the New York National Championships as Team Phreaks. During the tail end of the 2005 season, Karma started winning FFA tournaments, taking first place in Orlando and Los Angeles. After placings of 2nd and 3rd in Atlanta and Chicago, respectively, Karma closed out the year with his biggest win yet - 1st place in the MLG New York National Championships.

While at first, the team now known as Carbon could not capture the elusive 1st place over Final Boss, Karma continued his individual success, winning the first four 1v1 tournaments of the 2006 season. At MLG Orlando 2006, Carbon emerged with a new roster, having switched out StrongSide for the newcomer GH057ayame. The new squad dethroned Final Boss and went on to win 3 consecutive events, closing things out with 1st place at the MLG Las Vegas 2006 National Championships. Though he was now experiencing 4v4 success, his individual success continued, as his winning streak lasted throughout the season, culminating in another National Championship. At the end of the season, his FFA/1v1 winning streak sat at 8 events. In 2007, Carbon and Karma saw less success. MLG's individual competition format changed, with much more emphasis being placed on Free-For-All as opposed to 1v1 competition. As a result, Karma seldom placed in the money. Carbon's troubles were rooted in the renewed success of Final Boss, who had picked up Karma's former teammate StrongSide. While Carbon did manage to defeat Final Boss once and win MLG Dallas 2007, they were unable to repeat as National Champions, closing Halo 2 out on a less spectacular note.

Halo 3

After a disappointing open to the start of the 2008 season, Cpt Anarchy replaced Gandhi on Carbon. A few events later, Karma was released from Carbon but found success near the end of the season by winning MLG Dallas 2008 with Triggers Down. The roster consisted of FearItself, Hysteria and SK. This would turn out to be Karma's last tournament win. Over the next two seasons, Karma would play on teams such as VG The New Order, Heaven and Earth, Illuminati and Purgatory, breaking the top 8 only twice over the course of the 2009 and 2010 seasons.

Halo: Reach

For the MLG Dallas 2010 Reach Exhibition, Karma joined Perfect Storm alongside Legit, Naded and KillerDrew. The team finished 9th. This would be Karma's last major Halo event.
