PainX is a former Halo team that achieved moderate success in the 2007 MLG season.

History

Halo 2

Team PainX was founded near the conclusion of the 2006 MLG season by GI FactoR, Hi Value, Dasteez, and Xenios. At their first event, the MLG New York Playoffs 2006, they failed to make it out of the Open bracket, though FactoR did make it to the FFA Playoff Bracket. PainX returned for the 2007 season with a new roster, retaining only FactoR from the original lineup. Joining him were Wonka, Censored, and DyNoMiKe. PainX made a statement at the first event of the season, placing 10th as the 22nd seed coming out of the open bracket. The same roster returned at MLG Meadowlands 2007, this time placing 13th. FactoR experienced FFA success once again, placing 2nd. PainX returned at MLG Dallas 2007 and had its strongest event yet, taking 9th place. FactoR again had a strong FFA placing - 3rd, while Censored won the whole thing. PainX finally made a roster change after Dallas, with DyNoMiKe being replaced by Butt3rZ. The new roster placed in the money for the first time, taking 6th in Chicago. This time, it was Wonka with FFA success, placing 5th. PainX took a step back in Orlando, placing 9th with no representation in the FFA top 8, and failing to secure a top 7 seed going into the Las Vegas National Championships, meaning they would have to fight out of the Playoff Bracket to make it into the Championship Bracket. With FactoR being replaced by Xtrem1st, PainX managed to win the Playoff Bracket. They took 7th in the Championship Bracket, taking a $10,000 prize.

Halo 3

PainX participated in the online ladder series leading up to MLG Meadowlands 2008 with a roster of Factor, Wonka, MaNiaC and Anthrax, but did not end up attending the event. PainX returned at MLG Toronto 2008 with an all new roster consisting of Envy, Warkid, Dersky, and Adrenaline. They placed 22nd. PainX disbanded after this event.
