Ezekiel "Prototype" Martinez is a Halo esports player, previously a player for Oxygen Supremacy. A veteran of the competitive scene, he is most well known for his time with teams like Fnatic Classic, Str8 Rippin, and 3sUP.

Halo 3

Prototype started off his Halo career at MLG Meadowlands 2009 placing top 32. His team, Feel the Hype, consisted of Luckyshot, SuperHyphy and The Main Slayer. He spent the rest of Halo 3 on Take Respect (except for MLG Orlando 2010 where he was a member of Legacy). His highest documented Halo 3 placing is 19th at the 2009 Orlando National Championships.

Halo: Reach

Prototype's first Reach event was MLG Dallas 2011, where he played alongside Icevayne, Frosty and SneakEBeaver on Active Rush and placed 13th. He also won the FFA at this event. He took a step back in Columbus where he placed 18th as a member of Severance alongside Gabriel, Keke and Monix. Things turned around when he was signed by Fnatic after Columbus. He would spend the rest of the season on Fnatic Classic with Chig, Russo and close friend Str8 Sick. Their highest placing of the season was 3rd in Anaheim, and they closed out the season with 4th at the Providence National Championships.

Fnatic Classic returned for the MLG Winter Championship 2012 where they placed 7-8th.

Halo 4

The Fnatic roster attended the MLG Fall Championship 2012 event, placing 17-24th.

Halo 2 Anniversary

In late 2014, Prototype joined Str8 Rippin alongside Tsquared, Naded and Str8 Sick. They had back-to-back 6th place finishes at Iron Games Columbus 2014 and UGC St. Louis 2015. Prototype was dropped from Str8 after UGC and did not participate in the remainder of Season 1.

On March 15, Arkanum confirmed that Noble Black had acquired Prototype.[1] Alongside Arkanum, Aries and Ninja, Noble placed 7th at Iron Games Atlanta 2015, losing to Velocity and Winterfox. In the following weeks, Noble Black disbanded, and Prototype was left teamless once again. He sought out his old teammate Str8 SicK, and alongside veteran players Frosty and SneakEBeaver, reformed Active Rush.[2]

Halo 5: Guardians

Prototype teamed with Posey xR, JuicyFruit and TireIron as Let's Get This Money for the first two NA Qualifiers, placing top 4 in each. The team was soon signed by Dream Team. Dream Team eventually replaced Posey and JuicyFruit with Aries and JessePeace. Dream Team qualified for the HWC 2016 NA Regional Finals as the 8th seed. In addition, the team was invited to the X Games Aspen 2016 invitational, where they placed top 8. At the NA Regionals, Dream Team finished top 16, failing to qualify for Halo World Championship 2016.

After Worlds, Prototype set his sights on qualifying for the Summer 2016 HCS Pro League. He formed team Indecisive alongside LifeStyle, Mr Blakerz and Chaser for an online qualifier, but LifeStyle was a no-show, resulting in Indecisive forfeiting the cup. The team then moved on without LifeStyle, recruiting Tsquared and changing their name to Str8 Rippin. Str8 finished top 8 in the LCQ, not good enough to qualify for the Pro League. After failing to qualify for the Pro League, Prototype and Chaser formed a new team for the Summer 2016 Open Circuit - OnlyGoodOnline - alongside MoNsTcR and MuNoZ. After consistently strong results throughout the Open Circuit season, OnlyGoodOnline was signed by esports organization 3sUP in time for the Open Circuit Finals. After a very narrow loss to Denial eSports, a team they had formed a rivalry with over the course of the season, 3sUP's last chance to qualify for Relegation was defeating Team eLevate in the Losers' Finals. Unfortunately, network issues forced 3sUP to forfeit the match.

3sUP made roster changes during the offseason, replacing Chaser with Rammyy. After solidifying themselves as a top team in the Fall Open Circuit, 3sUP attended HCS Orange County 2016 with the intent of qualifying for the Open Circuit Finals at HCS Las Vegas 2016. They did what they needed to do, finishing top 8. Prior to Vegas, 3sUP replaced MuNoZ with rising star Renegade. At the event, 3sUP finished 1st in the Open Circuit Finals, qualifying for Relegation. In the Championship Bracket, 3sUP made a statement when they beat Enigma6 Group, a team they would be facing at Relegation, 3-2. They finished top 6 overall at the event. At Relegation, 3sUP were chosen by Enigma6 Group as their first round opponents. In an extremely close match, 3sUP were defeated 4-3. 3sUP then defeated The MoneyMatches Team to earn another shot at qualifying, but could not take more than two games against Team Allegiance.

In the Esports Minor League, 3sUP were dominant to start, but ended up breaking up in the middle of the season. Prototype assembled a new roster, now called TBD, with DasTroyed, RyaNoob and BabyJ. They went on to take 1st place in the ESML season and in the Season Finals. Team TBD was then signed by Team CryptiK going into ME Las Vegas 2017. In Vegas, CryptiK pulled off a big upset in the first round, taking out Evil Geniuses in 5 games. Unfortunately, losses to Team EnVyUs and Team Allegiance sent them home without a spot at Halo World Championship 2017. The following week in the Last Chance Qualifier, CryptiK, now with PreDevoNatoR in BabyJ's place, again were able to upset Evil Geniuses, but lost in the Finals to Splyce and missed out on Worlds.

During the offseason, Prototype initially joined a roster alongside Commonly, PreDevoNatoR and eL ToWn. The team, competing as Brownies, failed to qualify for the Summer Pro League and disbanded. Prototype and Commonly then joined BabyJ and Cratos, forming a roster which was signed by eRa Eternity. After a third place finish in the final Legendary Cup of the Open Circuit, Prototype left eRa and did not attend DreamHack Atlanta.

Prototype returned to action part-way through the Fall 2017 Pro League, replacing Nemassist on the struggling Naventic squad alongside ContrA, RyaNoob, and DasTroyed. Prototype's first (half) season as a Halo 5 pro did not go well, as the team continued to struggle and finished the season winless in eighth place. Following the season's conclusion, the Naventic roster was acquired by Team CryptiK. At DreamHack Denver, CryptiK finished in the top twelve.

In the early stages of the North American Halo World Championship 2018 season, Prototype and RyaNoob joined forces with Rayne and Str8 SicK, forming team DuoDuo. After acquiring the eighth seed going into MLG Orlando, DuoDuo was signed by Oxygen Supremacy. In Orlando, Oxygen finished in the top eight, Prototype's first top eight placing since 2016. Oxygen again finished second in their pool at MLG Columbus, earning a berth at Halo World Championship 2018 in the process. They went on to finish in the top six, losing to Team Reciprocity and Splyce. At Worlds, Oxygen Supremacy lost 3-0 to both Team Reciprocity and Team Infused, missing out on the championship bracket and finishing in the top twelve.

  • Originally playing under the tag "P TiZyPe", he changed his tag to Prototype during his first appearance on the MLG Main Stage.
