Biography
Halo 3
Ryan "RyaNoob" Geddes, originally known as "arealygoodnoob", began his professional career at the MLG Orlando Championships 2009 as a member of "Soarin and Fourin" alongside CoNNa, Rapture and PrettyBoy. They finished 27th. For the 2010 season, he attended MLG Orlando 2010 as a member of Adrenaline Rush, with Dubay, Blaze and Jerawockee, where they finished in 14th place. He left AR to join Warriors for Columbus with Brake, Goofy and NocternalKernal where they placed 5th. He would compete with Goofy, Legend and Twylight in Raleigh as Darkest Hour and finish in 16th. They then swapped Legend for Batmayne and finished 4th in D.C.
Halo: Reach
RyaNoob's first foray into Halo: Reach was in 2010, when Darkest Hour failed to qualify for the 2010 National Championships. Instead, RyaNoob rejoined Jerawockee as a member of Adrenaline Rush, for the Dallas Reach Exhibition, this time with Nate and Twin Savior. The team would finish 16th. RyaNoob started 2011 in Dallas as a member of Soul with Brake, Blaze and Formal, rising from the open bracket to take 5th place. For Columbus he would join Naded, Legit and Tsquared on Str8 Rippin for a 2nd place finish. He then rejoined Blaze and Formal, now playing with Maniac on Believe The Hype, for Anaheim and finished 5th. He and Blaze then joined A Pure Gangster and Lethul on Infamous for the rest of the year. They would win Raleigh come in 2nd at Orlando before finishing in 11th at the Providence National Championships. In 2012, RyaNoob would attend the MLG Winter Championship 2012 as a member of Carbon and finish 7th/8th. Carbon would go on to place 2nd at the first two AGL events before splitting up.
Halo 4
For the MLG Fall Championship 2012, RyaNoob rejoined Goofy and Legit on Warriors alongside Ninja. They won the event. This lineup stuck together for two AGL events where they placed 2nd. RyaNoob then left to join Classic for AGL 7, placing 3rd and UMG Chicago 2013, placing 2nd. For AGL 8 he rejoined Infamous, placing 2nd. RyaNoob attended RTX 2014 as a member of Vas’ Avi with Arkanum, Str8 SicK and Shooter and won.
Halo 2: Anniversary
RyaNoob's first H2A event was the ESL MCC Launch Invitational as a returning member of Str8 Rippin. They placed 2nd. RyaNoob was then signed to Denial eSports with Mikwen, Chig and Cloud. They came in 9-12th at Iron Games Columbus 2014 with Clutch subbing in for Chig, and won UGC St. Louis 2015 with the full roster. The team wouldn't fare as well at Gamers For Giving 2015, taking home 5th place. They went into the season finals at PAX East 2015 as the #3 seed, again underperforming and taking 5-6th place. On March 13, 2015, RyaNoob confirmed on Twitter that he had been released from Denial. On March 18, it was confirmed that he was a part of Team Randa with Naded, ContrA and Randa. On April 17th, it was announced that the team had been acquired by Winterfox. Winterfox placed 4th at Iron Games Atlanta 2015, being eliminated by Cloud9. Winterfox underwent a roster change between events, swapping out Contra for Arkanum. Despite the change, Winterfox repeated their 4th place finish at HCS Indianapolis. RyaNoob and Winterfox lost a step at the HCS Season 2 Finals, closing out their season with a top 6 finish.
Halo 5: Guardians
In the early stages of Halo 5, Naded was replaced on Winterfox by Shooter. Arkanum left late during the Halo World Championship 2016 qualifying stages to join Team EnVyUs. WFX picked up Domey in his place. Winterfox eventually qualified for the HWC 2016 NA Regional Finals as the 14th seed. At Regionals, WFX finished top 16, failing to qualify for Worlds. On April 22nd 2016, it was announced that Ryan would be joining ContrA, Goofy and PreDevoNatoR to form the new Team Allegiance roster. The team successfully qualified for the Summer 2016 Pro League at the Summer Qualifier, placing 2nd in their group. After posting an unimpressive 1-5 record over the first three weeks, Allegiance replaced Goofy with Heinz. Though Heinz helped improve the team's standing, they were unable to close the deficit, and ended up finishing 6th, just enough to qualify for the Fall Season but not enough to qualify for the Summer Finals.
Despite helping Allegiance hold onto their pro seed, RyaNoob parted ways with the team during the offseason, eventually reforming Elite Four alongside Cloud, Str8 SicK and Renegade. By the third week, Elite Four was making changes, replacing Renegade and Str8 SicK with Goofy and Brainstorm. RyaNoob, Goofy and Cloud then joined up with Gabriel under the Pnda Gaming organization. At ME Las Vegas, Pnda finished 4th in the Open Circuit Finals and top 12 overall, failing to qualify for Relegation or win prize money. After Vegas, RyaNoob parted ways with Pnda, joining Most Wanted alongside Nemassist, DasTroyed and Swift Kill. After a few weeks competing with this roster in the Esports Minor League, RyaNoob and DasTroyed left Most Wanted and joined TBD alongside Prototype and BabyJ. They went on to take 1st place in the ESML season and in the Season Finals. Team TBD was then signed by Team CryptiK going into ME Las Vegas 2017. In Vegas, CryptiK pulled off a big upset in the first round, taking out Evil Geniuses in 5 games. Unfortunately, losses to Team EnVyUs and Team Allegiance sent them home without a spot at Halo World Championship 2017. The following week in the Last Chance Qualifier, CryptiK, now with PreDevoNatoR in BabyJ's place, again were able to upset Evil Geniuses, but lost in the Finals to Splyce and missed out on Worlds.
During the offseason, RyaNoob and DasTroyed joined up with Nemassist and ContrA, initially as TBD. The roster was acquired by Oxygen Supremacy shortly after forming. At UMG Daytona, Oxygen Supremacy went undefeated in the Open Bracket and made a splash early in the Championship Bracket, sweeping Luminosity Gaming and taking out Str8 Rippin in 4 games. In the Winners Semifinals, they narrowly lost to Team EnVyUs in 5 games before being eliminated by Splyce in the Losers Bracket for a top 6 finish. Oxygen Supremacy went on to dominate the Summer 2017 Open Circuit, winning all four cups and earning a top spot in the Relegation Bracket at DreamHack Atlanta. In Atlanta, OS were successful in their bid to qualify, beating Str8 Rippin in the process. In the opening Championship Bracket round, OS upset Evil Geniuses 3-2 before being swept by Team EnVyUs. They were then beat 3-2 by eRa Eternity and sent home in the top twelve. Prior to the beginning of RyaNoob's second Pro League season, the Oxygen Supremacy roster was acquired by Naventic. After a terrible 0-4 start for the team, Nemassist left and was replaced by Prototype. Naventic's performance did not improve, and they finished the season in eighth place with no wins. At DreamHack Denver, CryptiK lost early to top European team Team Infused, but battled back with a win over top American amateur team CheckSix Gaming. In the following round they were defeated 3-2 by Evil Geniuses and sent home in the top twelve. In the early stages of the North American Halo World Championship 2018 season, RyaNoob joined forces with Rayne, Str8 SicK, and Prototype, forming team DuoDuo. After acquiring the eighth seed going into MLG Orlando, DuoDuo was signed by Oxygen Supremacy in RyaNoob's return to the organization. In Orlando, Oxygen finished in the top eight. Oxygen again finished second in their pool at MLG Columbus, earning a berth at Halo World Championship 2018 in the process. They went on to finish in the top six, losing to Team Reciprocity and Splyce. At Worlds, Oxygen Supremacy lost 3-0 to both Team Reciprocity and Team Infused, missing out on the championship bracket and finishing in the top twelve. However, RyaNoob was able to win the FFA Championship.
