Biography

Tommy Wilson is from Orlando, Florida.

Halo 5: Guardians

Saiyan broke out shortly after the beginning of the Fall 2016 Open Circuit, joining Contagious alongside TriPPPeY, Chaser and FireBird. The team quickly established itself as a top amateur squad. Chaser was replaced by V t3ct9 by week 3 of the season. The following week, FireBird was replaced by Brainstorm. In Week 5, TriPPPeY and Saiyan played alongside TireIron and Scaryotic, bagging their first Legendary Cup win. In the final week of the season, Scaryotic was replaced by BoamX. The team won the final cup of the season and attended HCS Las Vegas 2016 under the 6S Gaming organization, hoping to win the Open Circuit Finals and qualify for Relegation. They were successful, finishing 2nd in the OC Finals and top 12 in the overall tournament. At Relegation, the squad represented The MoneyMatches Team, taking 4th place out of the four teams at the event and failing to qualify for pro status.

During the offseason, Saiyan at first failed to land on a pro squad, but after UGC St. Louis 2017, he joined the pro-seeded Luminosity Gaming alongside Ninja, Victory X and eL ToWn. They secured the 5th seed going into ME Las Vegas 2017. In Vegas, Luminosity managed to qualify for Halo World Championship 2017 after a 4-1 victory over Splyce. They ultimately finished in the top 6 after a loss to Team EnVyUs. At Worlds, Luminosity were placed in a pool with London Conspiracy and Team Liquid. They finished below Liquid following a 3-0 loss and emerged in the Winners Bracket with a match against Splyce. Luminosity took the heated contest 4-3 and moved into the jaws of OpTic Gaming, who swept them out of the bracket. In Losers, Luminosity were swept by the eventual second place finishers in Team EnVyUs and went home with a top 6 finish.

After Worlds, Luminosity made a team change, replacing eL ToWn with a returning TriPPPeY. At UMG Daytona, Luminosity finished 2nd in its pool. In the Championship Bracket, they were upset early by Oxygen Supremacy in a 3-0 sweep. They managed to eliminate Believe the Hype and Evil Geniuses before bowing out to Splyce for a top 8 finish. After the first few weeks of the Summer Season, Luminosity replaced Victory X with APG. They ultimately finished the season in sixth place, just enough to avoid the Relegation tournament. At the DreamHack Atlanta Finals, Luminosity started things off with a victory over Ronin Esports, but they were defeated in the following round by Team Liquid. After securing a top eight finish, Luminosity were ousted from the bracket in a five-game loss to Evil Geniuses, going home with a top six finish.

During the offseason, Ninja retired, leaving a spot open on the team. The spot was soon filled by Rayne. The team did slightly better in the Fall 2017 Season, finishing in fifth place with a 3-4 record. At the DreamHack Denver Finals, Luminosity were upset early by the 12th seeded Str8 Rippin. In the Elimination Bracket, Luminosity won a close match with Ronin Esports to secure top eight. In the next round, they swept Evil Geniuses and faced the tough task of beating Team EnVyUs for top four. Despite gaining a 2-1 advantage at one point, Luminosity fell to EnVyUs and went home with a top six finish.

The Luminosity roster disbanded in the lead-up to Halo World Championship 2018 season, with Saiyan and TriPPPeY ultimately deciding to team with iGotUrPistola and bubu dubu. Initially competing as Ambush, the team was quickly signed by Team EnVyUs. EnVyUs made history at MLG Orlando by becoming both the first team to defeat OpTic Gaming before the Winners' Finals, and the first team to sweep OpTic, in their 3-0 victory in the Winners Semifinals. They were defeated by Splyce in the Winners Finals however, and OpTic took advantage of the rematch opportunity in the Elimination Finals, defeating EnVyUs 4-2 and sending them home in third. At MLG Columbus, EnVyUs started off similarly strong, sweeping their pool and qualifying for Halo World Championship 2018, but this time around they lost in the first round of bracket play to Splyce. After narrowly avoiding an upset loss to Str8 Rippin in the first round of losers, EnVyUs swept Renegades before running into Splyce once again. Splyce took a 3-0 victory and sent EnVyUs home in fourth. At Worlds, EnVyUs convincingly won their pool and went on to narrowly defeat Renegades 4-3 in the opening round of bracket play. They were then taken out 4-2 by Splyce, resulting in a losers bracket rematch against Elevate. EnVyUs won the match 4-0 and went on to win their following match against Team Reciprocity 4-3 in a game seven which featured a Reciprocity member's controller disconnecting at a crucial moment in-game. In the losers finals, EnVyUs very nearly defeated TOX Gaming, but ultimately took third place after a 4-3 loss.
