Scion Esports is an American Tournament Organizer based out of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

History

Halo 4 & Master Chief Collection

Scion produced several LANs during the Halo 4 era, most notably the 2012 Thanksgiving Open which featured over $2,000 in cash and prizes and involved 24 teams from the Southeast United States, and the 2014 Thanksgiving Open, for which Scion hired Iron Gaming to produce a Halo 2: Anniversary tournament. The H2:A tournament was to take place mere days after the launch of Master Chief Collection, and the game's unplayable launch made the event impossible, so Xbox 360s were brought in and a memorable impromptu Halo 3 tournament was held instead.

Halo 5: Guardians

Scion Esports (usually branded only as Scion when fielding pro teams) made its entry into competitive Halo on September 3 2016, fielding players such as Will "Will is Sick" Lemons, Eli_Elite, Impulsion, and Jeremy Savatrocity Camerer throughout 2016 and 2017 at events including 2050 Chattanooga, Esports Minor League Fall 2016 Season, and HCS Las Vegas 2016 while continuing to produce LAN events for Halo 5 ending with CyPhaCon 2017.

Halo Infinite

Scion made a return to the Halo esports scene as a Tournament Organizer in 2021, announcing the Scion Esports 10th Anniversary Celebration which is to feature Halo Infinite as the main event, on November 4 with a teaser video posted to their YouTube and social media. On December 22 the organizers announced that the broadcast team for the event would include HCS Broadcast talent Shyway, Clutch, and Ynot, as well as local community casters. The event is to take place on Janaury 29 and 30 2022 at the Lake Charles Civic Center in Scion Esports' hometown of Lake Charles, LA.
