Shock The World is a Mexican Halo team.

History

Halo 5: Guardians

Shock The World was formed in early 2016 with a roster of Christian "Zeus" Chavarría, Atzin "Atzo" Pulido, Irving "Drift" Ramírez and Carlos "Nugget" Marlasca. They experienced local success, notably winning $12,000 at Temporada 2016. In mid-2016, Shock The World tried its luck in the North American region, replacing Zeus with Niver "Gambino" in the process. They first unsuccessfully attempted to qualify for the HCS Pro League before competing in the corresponding Open Circuit season. They ultimately finished in the top 12 of the Open Circuit Finals.

During the offseason, Shock the World replaced Gambino with 17 year old Mexican phenom Josbe "Tapping Buttons" Valadez. After experiencing moderate success in the first half of the Fall season of the Open Circuit, Tapping Buttons left Shock the World to try his luck on a North American team. Shock the World replaced him with Sebastián "Dualitat" Cebado. This did not last long however, as "Tapping Buttons" returned to replace Dualitat the following week. Despite a strong performance in the Open Circuit season, Shock the World did not attend HCS Las Vegas 2016.

Shock the World returned to the international spotlight in February 2017, when they attended Gfinity Mexico City 2017 despite not competing in the online qualifiers beforehand. They took the event by storm, upsetting all of the top seeded teams and defeating Synergy Gaming 4-2 in the finals to book their ticket to Halo World Championship 2017. Tapping Buttons also won the FFA at the event. On March 17, Shock the World announced that Tapping Buttons would be replaced by Gilbert "MuNoZ" Muñoz for Halo World Championship 2017. Three days later, the original roster with Tapping Buttons was acquired by SoaR Gaming.
