SoaR Gaming is an American esports organization that fields teams in Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Halo 5: Guardians.
History
Halo 5: Guardians
On January 10, 2016, SoaR announced its entry into the North American Halo scene with a roster of Hunter Jjx, WinntuR, SneakEBeaver, and Turley. Prior to joining the organization, Hunter, WinntuR and Turley had been playing together on team Money Matches. After the fourth NA Halo World Championship 2016 qualifier, SoaR dropped Turley and replaced him with JuicyFruit. In the 5th qualifier, SoaR finished top 8 and clinched a spot in the NA Regional Finals. At NA Regionals, SoaR went winless in their group, losing to Team Liquid, Renegades and Astral Authority. Thus, they finished top 16 and did not qualify for Halo World Championship 2016. The roster disbanded shortly after.
A year later, one week before Halo World Championship 2017, SoaR returned to the Halo scene, acquiring the only Latin American team to qualify for Worlds - the Shock the World roster of Bullet, Atzo, Drift and Tapping Buttons. Unfortunately, Tapping Buttons was unable to attend the American event due to visa issues, leaving SoaR to bring in MuNoZ as a substitute. At Worlds, SoaR finished in the bottom four, failing to win a single match.
